Art therapy

"Indeed, art therapy, by integrating aspects of visual arts, medicine, psychology, psychotherapy, special education, and social work, has united science and art. I agree that art in all its forms is healthy. Creativity possesses an inherent therapeutic aspect; however, it does not automatically become art therapy. During art therapy sessions, artworks are explored through fairly defined medical methodologies and analyzed using specific guidelines. This is what distinguishes art therapy from art for health. Moreover, paradoxically, art therapy does not require any artistic skills at all." - says Diana.
